what happened to the day
what happened to the night
what happened to the dark
what happened to the light
these are the same old stones
that once were all unturned
and you're always there
telling me go on
and you all know the end
finally it's almost done
in a river you will find a phoenix
always daylight changing
how or when or why the seasons change
it's always daylight changing
change
when you are abused you cry out
but in your voice there's a tinniness
an automation
when you are confused you reach out
but in your hand there's a stickiness
a desperation
you left me too much, get away
you're suffocating me
you loved me too much, get away
you're suffocating me
forget about the boys in indiana
forget about the boys in vietnam
so what if I was loose in our formation
what's so wrong with cutting him
when you are older you will look back
on water, on water you are now
just barely staying over
it's not okay to end this way without
so grace was honesty, so grave was the pain
so great without
the griffin I had become
was wiped from existence
for so long, I was trying to sing along
but the words just came out wrong

I never get tired of this album. I couldn’t tell you how many times I’ve listened to it front to back. I share it with friends whenever I get the chance. I’ve been listening to Ambient and other synth music for decades and have never heard anything quite like it. manycat
